Using the Automated External Defibrillator is very important as it is the third link in the chain of survival.
The sooner a defibrillator is applied the better the outcome for the casualty.There are 3 principles you need to know about using an AED:
- Deciding to use it.
- Turning it on
- Following its instructions
This is the algorithm that tells you which checks and actions need to be done and which order they need to be done in.
